What is Sorry Bob?

Sorry Bob is a 3D dark-humor, physics-based surgery simulator that turns medical procedures into unpredictable chaos. You play as Nigel Burke, an overconfident and completely untrained “surgeon” tasked with keeping Bob alive during increasingly absurd operations. While the goal sounds simple—replace a failing organ—the execution quickly becomes a frantic battle against time, blood loss, and clumsy controls.

Unlike traditional medical simulation games, Sorry Bob does not reward steady hands. It even punishes them in fact. Physics-based devices and clumsy movement combined with having a one-hand gameplay make the experience intentionally annoying but amusing.

A Surgery Game Where Precision Feels Impossible

Sorry Bob is played from a first-person perspective, but you only control a single floating hand. Each level presents a clear objective, such as replacing a damaged organ before Bob’s blood level drops to zero.

To complete a surgery, you must:

  • Read and understand the assigned objective
  • Identify the correct replacement organ
  • Break open the chest using heavy tools
  • Remove damaged organs without causing excessive bleeding
  • Insert the correct replacement before time or blood runs out

Simple in theory. Absolute chaos in practice.

Finger-Based Controls That Redefine Difficulty

One of the game’s most iconic features is its unique finger-control system. Instead of a standard grab mechanic, each finger is controlled individually:

  • A – Pinky finger
  • W – Ring finger
  • E – Middle finger
  • R – Index finger
  • Spacebar – Thumb
  • Mouse Move – Position the hand
  • Left Click – Lower hand to grab
  • Right Click (Hold) – Rotate wrist

This unconventional control scheme makes even picking up a scalpel feel like a major achievement.

Physics, Panic, and Dark Humor in Sorry Bob

Sorry Bob thrives on controlled disaster. Tools slip, visibility becomes cluttered, and tiny mistakes trigger heavy blood loss. Syringes can help slow bleeding, but overcorrecting movements often causes even bigger problems.

Blending dark comedy, simulation gameplay, and physics-based mechanics, Sorry Bob delivers a uniquely challenging experience where confidence means nothing—and survival is never guaranteed.
