Introduction to Blockader
Blockader is a fast-paced 2D roguelite arena shooter that puts you in a colorful ring-shaped battlefield surrounded by relentless enemy waves. Your weapon fires automatically, so the focus stays on movement, survival, and building a strong setup through upgrades. With tougher enemies arriving over time, every run becomes a test of reflexes and strategy.
Gameplay Breakdown: Survive the Lunar Arena
Move, Dodge, and Clear Each Wave
Your character moves around the arena while enemies approach from different directions. Since your weapon automatically targets nearby threats, you don't need to aim manually. Focus on avoiding collisions and incoming Sniper fire while defeating enough enemies to fill the wave meter.
Each completed wave leads to a tougher encounter. There are eight danger tiers of melee enemies, while ranged Snipers add another threat that keeps you moving.
Build Your Character With Upgrade Cards
After clearing waves, you can choose from randomly offered upgrade cards. Blockader features more than 100 cards across four rarities, with effects that can include extra bullets, chain lightning, poison, dragon allies, and arrows.
You can also reroll the available choices when you want a different selection. Think about how each card fits your current build instead of treating every upgrade as an isolated choice.
Permanent Progression and Gear
Stars earned during runs can be spent on permanent Gear upgrades covering Offense, Defense, and Utility. Each of the six playable characters also has a Skill Tree for further progression. Only Lucky is available by default, while Byte, Spark, Orbit, Sludge, and Spike offer their own playstyles.
