What Is Retro Rush?
Retro Rush is a classic style arcade racing game that is based on short and high speed highway races. It is inspired by games such as Horizon Chase, focusing on precise controls, rapid response, and clever placement instead of realism. Every race puts you into a busy traffic stream and your mission is easy, to pass the other competitors, earn fuel and coins and arrive at the finish line first to unlock other cars and upgrades.
Retro Rush: Game Rules and Game Mechanics
In Retro Rush, all races are based on the momentum and control of key resources. You will have to speed up in the beginning to ensure that you do not get stuck in the traffic, then pass other competitors without creating trouble to maintain your speed.
Fuel is essential- without fuel canisters, your run will be over immediately hence, planning your route is as important as speeding. As you go, you get coins to unlock new cars and upgrades, which adds some form of progression to the individual races.
Nitro boosts give brief bursts of pace, and should only be employed in open roads where it is easier to pass. You have to juggle speed, positioning, and resource management to succeed and finish within the first positions and unlock more content.
Controls Guide
- Up Arrow / W: Accelerate
- Down Arrow / S: Brake
- Left/Right Arrows or A/D: Steer
- Spacebar: Nitro Boost
Responsive controls make it easy to jump in, but precision is what separates average runs from great ones.
